Our Staff

Hadley Funeral Chapel was one of the oldest funeral firms in California and has served Tulare County since 1892. Richard Hemingway joined Dudley and Maxine Hadley in 1974 and operated the firm until his retirement in 1992. Richard and Barbara Atkins Hemingway both proudly served their community and were even more proud when their grandson, Steven C. Marcom decided to dedicate his life to funeral service.

Steven grew up in Visalia and attended Golden West High School. He began his professional career in Visalia at Miller Memorial Chapel and graduated from Cypress Mortuary College in 1999 when he joined the staff of A.M. Gamby Funeral Home in Lomita, California were he was named manager in 2006. Ever since leaving Visalia, it has been Steven’s greatest desire to return to his beloved hometown.

He and his wife Qiana, daughter Tayler and son Lorenzo, are glad to be closer to his Grandmother, Barbara Atkins Hemingway and look forward to carrying on the legacy of Dudley Hadley and Richard Hemingway of treating every family with compassion, understanding and utmost respect.
