Susan Melton

  Susan Lynn Melton passed away on December 24, 2017.  She was born July 21, 1959 in Tulare CA to William & Maxine Melton.  She graduated from Mt Whitney high school and several years at College of the Sequoias.   At 16 years of age Susan started working for the American Indian Education Program for the Visalia Unified School District Title 5 Program and retired after 20 years.  Susan is well known in the POW WOW  circuit where she has coordinated POW WOW's and had been a judge for the dancers.  Susan is survived by her son Michael Ingram from Albuquerque and 2 grandsons Mike & Matthew Ingram of Visalia.  Susan also leaves behind 3 siblings Cecelia Marks of Porterville, Gloria Harger of Lake Isabella and Elliott Melton of Albuquerque.  There will be a Celebration of Life for Susan on January 27, 2018 at 5505 W. Tulare Ave., at the Club house from 11:00am until 4:00pm. Arrangements by Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel of Visalia
