Michael Velasquez Mendoza

Michael Mendoza, 61, of Visalia, CA passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2018 after a long battle with stomach cancer. Surrounded by family, he took his last breaths and went home with the Lord. Michael grew up in a very large family. He had many hobbies and interests. He loved listening to music, weightlifting, playing sports, and watching movies. After graduating from Fresno State, he became a member of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department as a Corrections Officer where he worked for 34 years. Michael worked long hours to provide for his family. After a long and dedicated career, he retired to spend more time with his loved ones. Michael is survived by his wife Esther, children Isaiah and Starr, son-in-law Matthew, and his loving brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 1:00pm until 5:00pm at Hadley- Marcom  Funeral Chapel of Visalia  Services will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Visalia First Assembly of God Church, at 10:00am,  3737 S.
