Victoira Ann Polk

Victoria Ann “Vickie” Polk was called home on March 17, 2018. Vickie was born August 3, 1954 in Santa Clarita Ca. She grew up in Visalia where she attended school and graduated from Sequoia High School. Vickie married the love of her life Dennis Polk in 1974. Vickie worked at the Post Office as a rural route carrier. Although she enjoyed her job as a carrier, she retired in 2005 to take on her most cherished job of being a grandma and caring for her first granddaughter. Vickie loved nothing more than being with her granddaughters, her children and her family. Vickie had many friends and she loved them all like family. She loved people and had many “adopted” kids she collected throughout her journey. Vickie will be remembered for the unconditional love she showed to all, for her cooking and for being the one others could always depend on. Vickie was preceded in death by her son Scotty Polk, her parents Delano and Sandra Shrout, her sister Karen Calderon and her brother Ruben Calderon. She is survived by her husband and love of her life, Dennis Polk, daughter Sandra Polk, granddaughters Anaiah and Reah Florez, sister Dorrina (Charlie) Arballo of Arizona, sister Ruby (Isaias) Luna, sisters Corrina and Cynthia Franco, brother Rick Calderon of San Diego and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins aunts, uncles and friends. Vickie will be missed greatly. Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Visalia First Assembly of God, at 2:00pm, 3737 S. Akers St., Visalia, CA 93277. Services entrusted to Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel, Visalia.
