Cecelia Isabel Garcia Castro
Our beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister, Cousin, Aunt and Friend
Born November 24, 1961, passed into eternal life April 22, 2024, at 62 years of kidney disease.
Cecelia attended Elbow Creek Elementary, Valley Oak Jr. High and graduated from Redwood High School in 1979.
Cecelia was a member at Holy Family Catholic Church while living in Visalia and St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Tulare. She loved being active with the church community meetings and a catechism teacher.
In 1993 Cecelia started a long career working at Central Air Conditioning. It was a truly a “labor of love” for her as she enjoyed everyone she worked with, seeing them as family. After retiring in 2018, she missed the busyness of the office and loved to hear about how the employees were doing.
Cecelia was the “Emma of Jane Austen” to our family, always bringing couples together. She showed her love for others by cooking and sharing her wonderful food. Her famous turkey stuffing, menudo, tamales, tortillas and bread are some of the items we will miss about her.
Waiting for her eternal life are grandparents Catarino and Frances Licon, Emilio Garcia, her father, Aunts Gloria Sandoval, Lupe Licon and Uncle Rudy Porras as well as her beloved Teresa. Cecelia is the first of the Licon grandchildren to pass on.
Those who mourn Cecelia’s passing are sons, Arthur and Melinda Castro Jr. and Andres Castro. Grandchildren Philip and Mathew. Francisco, Her love. Cecelia is the daughter of Eufemia L. Garcia, sister to Lucas L., Emilio Jr., Linda Joanne and Manuel Garza, Adelita Sabrina, and Tina. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
