Charlie Reyes, of Tulare, passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 80. He was born on May 23, 1944, to Valtazar and Lupe Reyes in Hanford, California. He attended and graduated from Hanford High School. After graduating from high school, he entered the United States Army. After serving and being honorably discharged, he returned home and began working at Armstrong / Pirelli tire company, where he worked for 32 years until the company closed in 2001. He married his wife Irene (Ramirez) Reyes, in 1969, who preceded him in death in 1996.
He is survived by his 4 children: Jessica (Reyes) Bates, Charlie Reyes Jr., Serena (Reyes) Trujillo, and Antonio Reyes; Daughter-in-laws: Candy Reyes, and Anabel Reyes; his grandchildren: Fabian, Isaiah, Frankie, Abraham, Melissa, Aleena, Adonijah, Odalys, Elizayra, and Antonio Jr.; and 5 great-grandchildren; and his brothers: Genaro Reyes, and Robert Reyes; and Sister Gloria (Reyes) Ronquillo.
He is preceded in death by his father, Valtazar Reyes; his mother, Lupe Reyes; his sister Jessie Reyes; and his brother, Ricardo Reyes. Charlie was a very generous man, who gave freely to those he loved, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching football on Sundays, and watching old episodes of Gunsmoke, Death Valley Days, and the Virginian.
Viewing will be held at Hadley Marcom on Thursday, January 30th at 830 (am) followed by a Graveside Service at the Tulare Public Cemetery-North, located at 4572 “J” Steet, Tulare, CA 93274 at 10 (am). Services in care of Hadley Marcom Funeral Chapel
