Clea Hall

July 14, 1938 — October 8, 2024

Clea Hall was born on July 14, 1938, in Hanford, California, to Clea Sr. and Opal Hall and passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024, in Visalia, California.

Growing up in a hardworking family, he was taught the values of diligence and integrity that would define his life. As a boy, Clea played Little League baseball and took immense pride in his contributions to his team. Even then, he demonstrated dedication and a strong sense of responsibility, traits he would carry throughout his time on earth. He attended Armona Union Elementary School, where he met his future wife, Joyce, and they formed a connection that would shape the course of their lives.

Together, Clea and Joyce raised three children—Bradley, Doug, and Julie—fostering a life centered around God, family, and love. Clea dedicated himself to providing for his family and serving his community as a trustee for the Armona School District, a board member for Armona Union, and President of the Armona Lions Club, among other roles.

Over a 27-year career at Diamond Lumber, he grew from a team member in Hanford to managing the Fresno location. Later, he became general manager at Kings Timberland Inc. before purchasing CBS Doors in Armona with his son Bradley as general manager. In 2000, Clea retired from a successful career in the lumber and door industries.

Clea cherished life's simple pleasures and found peace in tradition, nature, and sports. A devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers, he rarely missed a game, remaining loyal even through the team’s toughest seasons. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether maintaining his beautiful yards or hunting in the wilderness. In quieter moments, he found comfort in watching classic Westerns, a nod to his appreciation for grit and resilience.

In 2005, a year after the passing of his beloved wife, Clea moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, where he built new friendships and embraced a simpler life. He returned to work as a school bus driver until he retired fully in 2017. In 2021, Clea returned to Visalia, California, where he spent his remaining years close to family.

Clea was the foundation of the family he worked to build through his blood, sweat, and tears. He was a man of integrity and dedication whom his family looked to for guidance and stability. His grandchildren adored him as a role model, cherishing the security he provided, and his great-grandchildren will remember him for his playful jokes and witty humor.

Above all else, Clea was a man of strength and unwavering loyalty. He believed deeply in hard work, fairness, and the importance of family. His steady presence and calm guidance were a constant source of comfort to those who knew him, and his love will continue to shape the lives of his family and friends for years to come.

Clea is preceded in death by his parents, Clea Sr. and Opal Hall; his sisters, Kathleen Proctor and Opaleen Heffley; his wife, Joyce Hall; and his eldest son, Bradley Hall.

He is survived by his brothers, Larry Hall and Davy Ray Hall; his children, Doug Hall and Julie Barba; his grandchildren, Cammeran Warner, Shandawn Allred, Emily Henderson, Morgan Sanchez, Natalie Farias, Nicholas Hall, Jordan Hall, and Sarah Russell; and his 20 great-grandchildren. Each carries forward his legacy of love and strength.

In loving memory of a life well lived.
