Delia S Alvarez, from Salinas, CA passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022, at 6pm in Visalia, California. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 40 years, Jose, as well as her daughter, Erica, and son-in-law, Shahnawaz. She was adoringly known as Grandma Chilly to her three granddaughters who she loved to play and bake with. She cherished family and was survived by her mother, Rosa Flores, sisters, Julie and Jackie, and brother Freddie. Her death proceeds her Father, Fernando Flores, and brother Eddie. She was active and spiritual. She managed the household and delightfully cared for those she loved. She had a passion for music and was always ready to dance. Her creativity led to some delicious desserts and meals that she shared with everyone. She was a talented crochetier, making blankets, beanies, and more for those dear to her. She was adventurous. Hand-in-hand, she and her husband, took every available moment to explore California. The two would spontaneously drive to relish in the beauty of nature and different cities. In lieu of services, the family requests that you honor and celebrate Delia’s life by doing something that reminds you of the relationship and memories you shared with her.
