Dorothy Edith Lavon Beckley

Dorothy E. Beckley was born to Walter and Laura Henslee on December 25, 1922. She passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2022 at the age of 99. She was preceded in death by her husband Dana and Grandson Gary Bratcher. Dorothy is survived by her three children, Paul Beckley (Fay) of Lynden WA, Karen Metzger (Dennis) of Visalia and Katherine Bratcher (Elmer) of Visalia. She worked at Penney’s for many years as a lay-away clerk in order to proved us with the extras we needed once we reached High School. After retirement she and dad loved camping and fishing in the Sequoias. Mom also enjoyed going to the casino with her friends. She said the slot machine spoke to her. After moving to Visalia Estates she made new friends. She played Hand and Foot Canasta so well that everyone wanted her as a partner. We wish to thank Kaweah Health Hospice for their tender care in mom's final days. At her request, interment will be private. “When I come to the end of The road, and the Son has Set Me free.
