Our loving Auntie, Sister, Daughter, Cousin, and Friend passed away in Visalia California on March 17, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Wilda Phillips, her sister Alma “Michelle” Valenzuela, her brothers Ted and George Oberg, “Her baby brother” Steve Phillips, and her two little dogs Crystal and Velvet. She leaves behind her sister Connie Yandell and her many nieces and nephews, Randy, Bridgette, Tammy, Travis, Karena, Stephanie, Melanie, Steve Jr. and Matthew. As well as her many great nieces and nephews. Elner was born and raised in Selma California. She worked as a nurse in her younger days. She enjoyed gardening and really had a green thumb! Always making it look so easy. Auntie Elner loved thrift stores, especially Ramonas in Selma. She also had a deep love of animals, Crystal and Velvet were her pride and joy for many years! She could be found crocheting and doing art projects as well as coloring and painting. Auntie Elner loved her family and could be quite over bearing at times as she loved so deeply! She never had any children but was the best Aunt there ever was, always there to greet you with the biggest hug and lots of love. I don’t think anyone ever loved us as deeply as Aunt Elner! Some of our greatest memories were at her house, wearing her silkie nightgowns and browsing through the many pictures she had in so many photo albums. The smell of Caress and cigerettes will always be a comforting scent because of our Auntie Elner. We will all miss her trully so very much, but will find comfort in knowing that she is with all of our family that has gone before us. I imagine she is fussing over all of them up there like she did so many of us her. We love you so very much Auntie Elner and may you rest in Heavenly Paradise.
