Isabelle J. King

Isabelle Jean Tees King entered into heaven on August 26, 2020, days short of her 86th birthday. Born on September 9, 1934 to parents Albert Vincent Tees and Isabelle Logee Mcllroy Tees, Isabelle was the second of two daughters. Raised in Hollywood, Calif. Isabelle would attend Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic High School where she would continue the deepening of her faith and would enter the novitiate of the Sisters of The Immaculate Heart upon graduation. As a postulate in the convent Isabelle is now known as Sister Marie Renee, but she would discover her true vocation, leaving before final vows to pursue her love of nursing. Accepted into the Diploma Program at Los Angeles County General Hospital for the Registered Nursing Program this was an experience that would never be forgotten. Making lifelong friends and the source of many great stories! As a Registered Nurse, Isabelle worked in both Surgery and her most favorite position as charge nurse for Obstetrics. Delivering a message to her brother in law would create a chance meeting with a young JCPenney Department Manager and so would begin a love story to last an entire lifetime. Married on April 20, 1957 Isabelle and her husband Wayne would have two daughters, Kathleen Ann (1959) and Colleen Theresa (1962). Wayne's career would take the family on multiple transfers in California as well as Washington State before finally settling in Visalia in 1979. Isabelle was a veracious reader and was very active with charity work both at her church and with the Kaweah Delta Hospital Guild. Proudly serving as first Vice President and the following year as President of the hospital guild she would remain a lifetime member. Isabelle would suffer many losses in her life but her faith in God would never waiver. She is preceded in death by her youngest daughter Colleen Theresa (1993), grandson lan Mcllroy Busby (1996), Mother Isabelle Logee Mcllroy Tees (1997), husband Hubert Wayne King (2006), and sister Helyn Josephine Tees Varty (2007). She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Ann King Busby and granddaughter, Colleen Elizabeth Busby. Due to government mandates from the Covid-19 virus services are limited to a viewing at Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel 1700 W. Caldwell Ave. Visalia, Ca. 93277 from 10-11am on Friday, September 25, 2020 and burial at the Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W. Goshen Ave. Visalia, Ca. at noon.
