John James Prill, 64, passed away of natural causes in Visalia, CA. Predeceased by his grandparents, Ruth and James Leary, John and Margaret Prill, and niece Daniele Prill, also predeceased by infant brother Kevin. John is survived by his parents, John and Patricia Prill (Sarasota FL) and his sons, Noah and Kevin Prill (Sacramento and Fresno, CA), as well as 3 sisters; Ellen Prill (Rochester, NY), Lauren (Mark) Johnson, (Sarasota FLA), and Meg (Rob) DeRidder, ( Southbury, CT) and 2 brothers; James (Alejandra) Prill (Richmond, VA) and Michael Prill (Old Lyme, CT), many loved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. John had been employed at Rochester Gas and Electric (RG&E) for 29 years before moving to CA, receiving his Bachelor’s in Industrial Management through Robert’s Wesleyan in 1997 and pursuing Environmental Management with RG&E and later with Waste Management in CA.   John’s devotion to his son’s was important to him and he was a tennis, soccer and basketball coach for both. He also taught them the importance of the outdoor world and they hiked and fished in the mountains of California regularly. He was an avid tennis and golf player and had medaled in the New York State Olympics for Cross Country Skiing in his age group in 1990.   Services for John include a family memorial service in Sarasota FLA, a Visalia memorial gathering on Saturday 12/29/18, 17208 Ave. 298, Visalia, CA 93292, from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.  and  "Open House for John on Saturday, July 6, 2019, 94 Shore Drive, Rochester, NY 14622, 1-5pm." Donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
