Johnny Rains, Jr, lifelong resident of Visalia, passed away at home surrounded by his family on March 13, 2022 at the age of 74. Johnny was born on July 28, 1947 to John, Sr & Violet Rains. He attended Houston Elementary, Green Acres Middle School & graduated from Redwood HS. He was drafted into the Army in 1967 & served his country honorably until 1969. In the 70’s he worked for his Dad (Trader John) and started doing stained glass in his spare time. He eventually started his business known as Kaleidoscope mastering beautiful stained glass windows. He closed the business in 1997 and became a State Licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser until he retired in 2012. Johnny was a kind and gentle man. He loved to read, especially the word of God. Johnny was preceded in death by Brenda Rains (mother of his children), parents John, Sr & Violet Rains and son John Steven. Survived by his wife DeeDee Rains, sons Gregory (Jessica) Rains & Brian (Andrea) Lucas. Grandchildren Landon & Madison Rains and Chandler, Spencer & Makenzee Lucas. Sisters Peggy Strickland and Linda Spiedel.
