Justin V. Thygeson

Justin Vernon Thygeson, 39, passed away following a difficult struggle with cancer on October 5, 2018 at the Adventist Medical Center in Hanford, CA. He was born on May 18, 1979 in Modesto, California to Vernon C. Thygeson and Barbara A. Thygeson, née Bennett. He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara A. Foster, née Bennett of Modesto, CA. He is survived by his father, Vernon C. Thygeson of Thief River Falls, MN, his sister Julie A. Pappas of Modesto, CA, his brother Steven R. Foster of Loomis, CA and his brother, Sean E. Foster of Modesto, CA.

When Justin was born ten weeks prematurely, he sustained permanent injuries due to a lack of oxygen at birth. Despite the challenges he faced, Justin grew to be a gentle, loving young man with a beautiful smile and a kind heart. He loved playing baseball and was a member of The Miracle League of Visalia.

We are very grateful for the love and care that was provided to Justin by Robert and Desiree Gumbiner for the last nineteen years, along with the many support services he received from the Central Valley Regional Center.

Justin’s final days were spent surrounded by family and friends who loved him very much. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to have known him. May he rest in peace, may God bless his soul, and may his memory be eternal.

A Memorial will be held celebrating his life at the Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel located at 1700 W Caldwell Ave in Visalia, CA on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Justin’s name to The American Cancer Society.
