Marcelino Prado Manriquez Jr.

October 21, 1954 — April 21, 2022

Marcelino Prado Manriquez, Jr was born in Lubbock, Tx on October 21, 1954 and was the oldest of 7 siblings. He graduated from Ventura Adult School with a welding certificate. He was a welder for over 34 years. He did a short stint in the Army before he was injured and had to come home, but he kept all the things he learned from there and used them daily. Marcelino was quite the ladies man with his good looks, amazing voice and that signature eyebrow raise. He was a phenomenal guitar player and if you were one of the lucky ones that attended any of the family get-togethers you were probably treated to a concert courtesy of Marcelino, his siblings and/or his friends. He was a self taught Karate Ninja and loved to show off those Karate moves on the dance floor. Marcelino always wanted to have a son, but God decided he had not suffered enough, so he blessed him with four beautiful daughters. These daughters each had their turn at driving him crazy. He was a great father, a tough father and a loving father. He taught his daughters how to be tough and resilient no matter what life throws at them. He also taught them how to love through the good and the bad of life, and to not turn their back on family. Marcelino Prado Manriquez, Jr of Visalia, Ca passed away on April 21, 2022, at age 67, after a valiant fight against Alzheimer's/Dementia. He is survived by his four daughters Christina Torres of Visalia, Sylvia Marie of Visalia, Sheila Ordonez of Visalia and his name sake, Marcie Lena Manriquez of Lindsay; his son in law Phillip Torres; his ex-wife and all time love of his life, Toni Mata; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; 5 siblings Ruby Rodriguez, Larry Manriquez, Mary Alice Varella, Linda Hobson and Danny Manriquez. Preceding him in death are his parents, Marcelino Manriquez Sr and Rosalinda Manriquez and his sister Delores Cavarrubio. HOOAH!!!! Viewing and Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 30, at The Life Church located at 27450 Rd 148 Visalia, Ca. Viewing will be from 1-3 with the services immediately following.
