Norma Kay Wright

On Friday, May 20, 2022, Norma Kay Wright passed away at the age of 77 in Visalia, CA. Kay was born on October 23, 1944, in Porterville, CA to Norman and Iota “Boots” Burris. As a young girl she grew up and attended school in Terra Bella. She graduated from Porterville High School in 1962. She married Robert Wright in 1972 and they settled in Woodlake. Kay operated a daycare out of her home for over 25 years, touching the lives of many young kids. Her life was defined by her desire to care for people young and old. Kay was preceded in death by her husband and her daughter Amber Sandri. She is survived by two sisters Carol Sue Milner and Tressie Wintner, a brother Gordon Burris, a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Dina Wright, and grandchildren Alex Wright, Kylie Wright, Chris Mesa, Tyson Sandri, and Brooke Sandri, and one great grandson Jackson Mesa. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Woodlake City Park on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 11:00 to 2:00.
