Richard Reynolds Thompson, 74, of Visalia, CA, passed away on August 8, 2024 surrounded by family. Born on February 14, 1950, in Lindsay, CA, he was a dedicated employee at American Incorporated, where he worked for 33 years in the plumbing department.


Richard is survived by his sisters, Susan Conley (Kevin) and Liz Thompson (Erik); his children, Stephen Lake (Jennifer), Rachelle Lankton, and Milo Espinoza; his grandchildren, Ethan Lake, Addyson Lankton, Gage Lake and James Espinoza; and his great-grandson, Killian Lake. He also leaves behind his niece, Olivia Hidalgo (Jose). He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Thompson, his mother Barbara Thompson and son Myles Espinoza. 


Richard was an adventurous person who loved the outdoors. You could always catch him riding his bike or snow skiing. He enjoyed watching Nascar, working out, going on vacation and spending time with his family. He was passionate about work and made some lifelong friends throughout the years, where he will be greatly missed by all. Richard instilled a sense of hard work, and dedication with everyone he encountered.


A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Seven Oaks Church, 1021 S Burke Street, Visalia, CA 93292. Richard's life and legacy will be remembered by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Services are in care of Hadley Marcom Funeral Chapel.
