Rudy Reyes Vasquez

January 6, 1962 — September 11, 2022

Rudy Reyes Vasquez was born and raised in Goshen, California to Rudy Vasquez Sr., and Louisa (Flores) Vasquez on January 6, 1962. Rudy passed at his home in Goshen, California surrounded by his entire immediate family on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 11:55 a.m. Rudy met his lovely wife Maria at Divisadero Middle School in Visalia, California. They were wed on February 27, 1982. In 1996, they finally built their family home together. They were blessed to celebrate 40 wonderful years of marriage, as well as the arrival of their 6 children: Rudy Jr. III, Rosalie, Ray, Ashley, Bianca, and Joseph. Rudy was an amazing father and was there for all of his kids whenever they needed him. Rudy grew up in a loving family with his four older siblings, Rita, Rosie, Kathy, and his brother Paul. He loved playing baseball as a child and grew into playing softball as an adult. He coached his children’s little league and softball teams. Rudy was a die-hard L.A. Rams, S.F Giants, and L.A. Lakers fan and enjoyed watching them with his sons or family. Family get-togethers were his absolute favorite times, and he was always the first one to show up to the party. He loved spending time with his wife or family with all of his heart, especially on getaways to the beach, Las Vegas, L.A, S.F. or amusement parks. Rudy loved his nine grandchildren: Robert, Isaiah, Ayvah, Ezra, Addison, Daniel, Lex, Aaron, and Kaleo. He was a great man with a great heart, reliability, and a superior work ethic. He was the hardest worker we’ve known. Rudy was a mentor and father to his sons-in-law when they needed him, and they were there for him also. If there was anything that needed to be fixed around the house, everyone would rely on Rudy and he would always be the one to figure it out. He was our MacGuyver! It was in his nature to help out anyone in need with whatever they needed. Rudy was an amazing husband, father, father-in-law, brother, grandpa, cousin, and loyal friend. Just know Rudy fought his battle with everything he had. He will be severely missed by many. Rudy was preceded in death by his father Rudy Vasquez Sr., his mother-in-law Jenny Jimenez, and grandson Malaki Gutierrez. He is survived by his mother Louisa Vasquez, wife Maria Vasquez, three daughters Rosalie (Robert) Renteria, Ashley (Martin) Gutierrez, and Bianca (Dustin) Kehoe, and three sons Rudy Vasquez Jr. III, Ray Vasquez, and Joseph Vasquez. As well as his nine grandchildren, his three sisters Rita (Robert) Hernandez, Rosie (Florencio) Lopez, and Cathy (Benny) Felix, and one brother Paul Vasquez, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
