Terry Gail Britt

Terry was born on December 18, 1951 in Fresno, CA to Annie Cardilla Norton and Gerald Haskell Norton. In 1958 came her brother Brooks followed by brother Greg in 1959. Then came Patricia in 1970 and the baby, Susie, in 1971. Terry grew up in Modesto until age 10, then in Riverdale. She graduated from Riverdale High School in 1970. She married Johnny Moore on October 17th that same year. Johnny and Terry were high school sweethearts. They married after graduation and both joined the Airforce and moved to Germany together. They had three children. Melissa was born on October 30, 1976. Becky came November 16, 1977, and then JW on April 30th, 1981. Terry proudly served in the United States Air Force from July 31, 1973 to October 3rd, 1980. She was the first female Aircraft Mechanic to work on the F4 fighter jet in Germany. She graduated from Porterville College with an AA in Business. She worked for Proteus from 2008 until the present. She loved her job and her co-workers. Terry married Boyd Britt in 1996. They operated Visalia Manufacturing and California Knives and loved their weekend trips to Las Vegas. She was blessed with her first grandchild, Jacob Michael Wood in 1995. This was followed by Grayson Gail Susan Prader in 1997, John Wesley Moore/Banks in 2001, and Jaiden Andrew Banks in 2005. Terry lived and looked forward to every family gathering. Everyone loved her ham and deviled eggs and she loved making them for everyone. Terry played Scrabble every week with her Mom and siblings. She also loved Friday nights making music with her brothers. You could sum up Terry’s life by how she lived for family. Terry’s joy in life was her grandkids, Jake, Grayson, and John Wesley. Terry was recently enjoying spending time with Grayson making her wedding plans. She also recently got to spend time with Jake at his new home in Tennessee. How her eyes would shine when she was with John Wesley! She was a very proud Grandmother. In addition to being Mom to Melissa, Becky, and JW, she was also Mom to many others who needed a Mother’s love.
