Tillie Archuleta

Tillie Archuleta 95, of Visalia, CA entered into eternal rest Sunday, October 22, 2023. She was a seamstress by trade and co-owned an upholstery business with her husband for 20 years and then she went into housekeeping until her retirement. Tillie was a great cook and handed down many family recipes, she enjoyed family outings which included camping and afternoon picnics (BBQ’s). She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and watching soap operas and game shows. A devout Catholic her commitment and unwavering faith in our Lord Jesus was with her always. Tillie married Pete Archuleta in 1952, they were married for 59 years. They were a great example of love, care, devotion and patience in a marriage. They spent all those years taking care of each other and raising 3 children and 5 grandchildren. She was not only a mother figure to our family but our extended family and friends as well. Always a great listener and a friend to everyone. The void that is being left is wide and far reaching. She is preceded in death by her parents Donaciano and Amelia Martinez. Siblings Joe Martinez, Julia Sanchez, Don Martinez and Kathy Ortiz. Her husband Pete Archuleta, son Ernest Archuleta, and great granddaughter Zoey Mitchell. She is survived by daughters, Barbara Archuleta (David) and Karen Phillips (Kevin) both of Visalia. Five grandchildren, Sunshine Anderson, Monique Anderson, Alicia Archuleta, Jordan Phillips and Keisha Phillips-Mitchell. 15 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, friends and loved ones.
