Verl L. McIntosh

Verl L McIntosh was born on January 1, 1944. Father of three; Debra and Dave Warnke of Visalia, California, Shane and Holly McIntosh of Squaw. Valley, California and Marty and Kristy McIntosh of Statyton, Oregon. He has 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Brother to John McIntosh of Riverdale, California and Sam Brown of Tulare, California. Preceded in death by his mother Juanita Teixeira, Cecil Sapp, Alvie McIntosh, Pineapple Teixeira, sister Donna and brother Robert Dale. During high school, Verl enjoyed playing baseball. His love for the game carried on throughout his adult life. He served in the US Army in Germany, receiving an honorable discharge due to the early death of his father, Alvie. He came home to support his mother and younger siblings. Verl had many occupations in his lifetime. He worked as a butcher in Smith’s Market in Five Points, California, he then became a carpenter and achieved his contractor’s license in 1979. He later started McIntosh & Brown with his brother-in-law and two brother’s Robert Dale and John McIntosh, until retiring the company 2005. Shortly after, Verl and his son Marty McIntosh took over C.B.S. Doors. 10 years later he retired to spend time with his family and grandchildren and raise his dog Dallas. Verl enjoyed baseball, camping, hunting, fishing, waterskiing, reading, watching western movies, cutting fire word, making S.O.S. and homemade ice cream. Even after achieving all these come accomplishments, he felt his greatest accomplishments were his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
