Our beloved mother, Victoria Aguinaga passed away peacefully in her home on September 11, 2022. She was born on September 19, 1938 to Tom and Mattie Velasquez. She was a homemaker most of her life, though she worked at different times to help support her family. Victoria was a loving mother and grandmother. Many will remember sitting in her kitchen eating a fresh homemade tortilla with butter, or her teaching her grandchildren new card games. She enjoyed reading, doing word searches, and putting together puzzles on her table. She loved shopping at the old downtown sidewalk sales, and browsing through the clearance sections at Target to find a good bargain. In her later years she loved visiting the Dollar Tree to find new 100 piece puzzles, eating out, and trips to the Sonic drive- thru during Happy Hour to get her Route 44 unsweetened ice tea. Her favorite spot was sitting by the front kitchen window looking at the hummingbirds visiting their feeders and watching all of the neighborhood activity. She was the rock of our family and will be deeply missed, but forever loved. Victoria was preceded in death and reunited in heaven with her husband of 67 years, Domingo Aguinaga Sr., her children Robert and Connie Aguinaga, and her granddaughter, Mattie Cantu. She is survived by her children, Veronica (Domingo) Lopez, Raymond (Beverly) Velasquez, Rachel (Alfred) Suniga, Domingo (Elsa) Aguinaga Jr., Sandra (Russ) Campo, and Janell (Robert) Madsen, 16 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. Viewing will be on Sunday September 25, 2022 from 4-7 PM with Rosary at 6 PM at Hadley Marcom Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be on Monday September 26, 2022 at 9 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. Graveside service will follow at Visalia District Cemetery.
